Bathing Regulations of the Laa Thermal Spa Resort

For the sake of simpler readability, there will be no specific categorisation into female, male and diverse genders. All information is of course aimed at all gender groups.

Dear guests! By purchasing an admission ticket or using the hotel services, you enter into a contract with TBL Therme Laa a.d. Thaya – Betriebsgesellschaft m.b.H. and the following conditions of the spa regulations shall apply as part of the contract. Guests who violate the bathing regulations or disobey the instructions of the Thermenresort staff may be excluded from the facility without entitlement to a refund of the entrance fee. In special cases, the guest may be temporarily or permanently excluded from the visit. The sauna regulations are part of the bathing regulations and are therefore binding for all guests of the thermal spa resort. Admission to the sauna area is permitted for adolescents aged 14 and over. Silent Spa from the age of 16.

1. Obligations of the Laa Thermal Spa Resort

1.1. Granting use of the facilities, risk assumption by guests

(1) The Thermal Spa Resort allows guests to use its facilities at their own risk in accordance with the provisions of these bathing regulations.

(2) Generally, it is not possible for neither the thermal spa resort nor the staff to prevent bathing accidents. In particular, the guests themselves bear the risks associated with the sport practised on the bathing area.

(3) The same applies to violations and other infringements of the personal sphere of the guest by other guests or other third parties not belonging to the staff of the Thermal Spa Resort.

(4) The Thermal Spa Resort shall only assume the following obligations towards the guests.

1.2. Opening hours and access

(1) The offer of the Thermal Spa Resort can be used within the published opening hours.

(2) If the official maximum number of visitors is reached, the Thermal Spa Resort is obliged to prohibit the admission of further guests. In these cases, our guests will have to expect waiting times.

(3) The Thermal Spa Resort hereby informs you that guests who are in an impaired state due to alcohol, medication, addictive substances etc. or who display conspicuously aggressive or violent behaviour are not permitted to stay at the Thermal Spa Resort.

1.3. Condition and operation of the equipment

(1) The Thermal Spa Resort guarantees that the facilities are installed, operated and maintained in accordance with all regulations. In particular, the Thermal Spa Resort is obliged to comply with all applicable hygiene and safety regulations. No further obligations exist on the part of the Thermal Spa Resort.

(2) As soon as the Thermal Spa Resort becomes aware of any malfunction, defect or damage to a facility that no longer guarantees safe operation, the Thermal Spa Resort will immediately prohibit the use of the malfunctioning facility or restrict its use in an appropriate manner. This will not lead to an entitlement to a reduction in remuneration.

1.4. Control of compliance with the bathing regulations

The Thermal Spa Resort will use its responsible staff to monitor compliance with the bathing regulations by guests and other persons on the Thermal Spa Resort premises as far as is reasonable. If disorderly behaviour is detected, the persons concerned will be warned and may be excluded from the premises if necessary. In this case, no entitlement to a refund of the admission fee will apply.

1.5. Help in case of accidents

In the event of and accident, the Thermal Spa Resort will immediately initiate assistance measures with the help of its responsible staff within reasonable limits. Accidents must always be reported to our staff immediately.

1.6. Help with the defence against potential dangers

If the Thermal Spa Resort, in particular the responsible staff, is credibly informed by guests of an imminent danger to the health and life of guests, the Thermal Spa Resort shall endeavour to avert this danger with the help of its staff within reasonable limits.

1.7. Supervision of underage children, depentens persons, persons with special needs and non-swimmers

The duty to supervise underage persons, dependanr persons, persons with special needs or non-swimmers is not the responsibility of the Thermal Spa Resort and cannot be assigned to it. Access for unaccompanied underaged guests up to the age of 14 is not permitted.

1.8. Liability of the Thermal Spa Resort Laa

(1) The Thermal Spa Resort will only be liable for damage caused to the guest by the Thermal Spa Resort or its staff as a result of unlawful behaviour, in particular behaviour in breach of contract and culpable behaviour.

(2) The Thermal Spa Resort is not liable for damage caused by non-compliance with the bathing regulations, any other rules of use or by non-compliance with the instructions of the staff, by other own fault of the injured party or by unavoidable events or force majeure, in particular also by interference by third parties. Contributory negligence leads to corresponding damage sharing. The same applies mutatis mutandis to any special rules of use displayed at the respective equipment and facilities (e.g. for the slide, diving tower, sauna, etc.) as well as to any prohibitions or restrictions on use within the meaning of Section 1.3. (2).

(3) The use of car parks is at your own risk. The Thermal Spa Resort is not obliged to guard car parks or to maintain its areas and other facilities in order to protect vehicles from damage (e.g. from nails, broken glass or potholes on the areas). The provisions of the German Road Traffic Regulations (StVO – Road Traffic Act) apply.

1.9. Special safety measures of the Thermal Spa Resort Laa

For security reasons, selected areas of the Thermal Spa Resort, such as the Therme, Silent Spa, hotel, Silent Villas and car parks, are under video surveillance. The pictures taken in the process are not stored for longer than 72 hours. Guests consent to video surveillance by entering the Thermal Spa Resort.

2. Obligations of the guests

2.1. Chip media, fees

(1) The use of the Thermal Spa Resort is possible at the applicable price regulations.

(2) A deposit may be required for issued chip media on the basis of the applicable tariffs.

(3) The chip media must be returned when leaving the Thermal Spa Resort.

(4) For each lost chip medium, a replacement of 15 euros must be paid, as well as a flat-rate replacement of 100 euros for incomprehensible usage.

2.2. Supervision of children, underage persons, non-swimmers and people with special needs

(1) The persons responsible for the supervision of children, underage persons, non-swimmers and persons with special needs (e.g. the relatives with parental authority or corresponding supervisors or carers) must ensure that these guests are properly supervised..

(2) Guests subject to supervision remain responsible for supervision even if they leave the Thermal Spa Resort premises without those to be supervised.

(3) The applicable youth protection regulations, in particular bans on alcohol and smoking, residence bans or obligations of legal guardians, must be observed by the young people and their legal guardians.

2.3. Supervision during group visits

(1) In the case of group visits, the supervisor responsible for pupils, and in the case of clubs and other organisations, the responsible official must ensure that the pool regulations are observed and bear full responsibility for this. The responsible supervisors must be present for the entire duration of the group visit.

(2) The supervisor must maintain proper liaison with the resort staff to ensure that the rest of the normal pool operations are not disturbed by the group visit.

2.4. Instructions from the resort personnel

(1) Guests are obliged to follow the instructions of the resort staff without reservation. This also applies in the event that a guest considers that the instruction given to them is unjustified.

(2) Anyone who violates the bathing regulations or bans on the use of certain facilities (e.g. slide, diving tower, sauna) or the restrictions as defined in Section 1.3. (2) or disobeys the instructions of the staff may be expelled from the Thermal Spa Resort without being entitled to a refund of the admission fee.

(3) In special cases, a ban on future visits may also be imposed.

2.5. Hygiene regulations

(1) Guests are obliged to maintain the utmost cleanliness throughout the entire Thermal Spa Resort. This includes wearing proper swimwear (exception: sauna areas) and bathing shoes.

(2) In general, when it comes to swimwear, the hygienic aspect takes first place. The swimwear must be water-repellent and non-absorbent (in accordance with legal requirements). For safety reasons, swimwear must fit snugly and should not have any protruding parts that could catch onto protruding objects.

(3) Swimwear that covers the primary genitals must be worn.

(4) Small children and babies may use the swimming pools only with suitable swim nappies or swimming trunks.

(5) The Thermal Spa Resort is not allowed to be visited with infectious diseases.

(6) The wet and sunbathing areas of the Thermal Spa Resort are not allowed to be entered with street shoes.

(7) For hygienic reasons, guests must shower before every use of the pools. The showers must be turned off after use.

(8) The use of soap, shampoos or detergents and the washing of swimwear in swimming and bathing pools is prohibited.

(9) It is forbidden to shave, colour your hair, cut your nails, wax your body hair and apply body and face packs.

(10) Food may only be consumed in the designated areas.

(11) Waste (bottles, jars, cans, paper, etc.) must be separated and disposed of in the appropriate waste containers.

(12) Animals are not permitted in the Thermal Spa Resort, with the exception of the hotel.

2.6. Refraining from hazards and harassment

(1) Every guest is obliged to show consideration for other guests, especially with regard to noise. Therefore, anything that harasses or endangers other guests must be avoided.

(2) The boundaries of the bathing area may not be climbed on or over.

(3) All facilities and equipment of the Thermal Spa Resort may only be used in accordance with their intended purpose.

(4) Without exception, it is not permitted to take photos or record audio and video material of guests without their consent. The production of image and sound material of buildings, parts of buildings or premises of the Thermal Spa Resort is prohibited without exception and is only permitted after obtaining written consent from TBL. It is also forbidden to publish such photographs in any way whatsoever.

(5) Smoking and vaporising tobacco and liquids is not permitted in the entire indoor area of the Thermal Spa Resort, as well as in all indoor and outdoor pools, and is only permitted in the designated and marked areas.

(6) The use of glassware and porcelain is prohibited in the entire wet and lounging area.

(7) In consideration of other guests, the use of radios, televisions, MP3 players, musical instruments and jukeboxes is not permitted. Loud telephoning, especially in quiet areas, is not permitted.

(8) All pools in the Thermal Spa Resort may only be accessed via the designated entrances and exits.

(9) Without the consent of the Thermal Spa Resort management, the organisation of courses or group events of any kind is not permitted.

2.7. Use of additional equipment

(1) Bathrobes, bath towels, deckchairs and other equipment and facilities offered to the public can be used against payment of a corresponding user fee while stocks last.

(2) Each guest may only occupy one seat or lounger. If this is not used, a longer-term reservation by placing towels, bags or similar is not permitted. If necessary, the staff is authorised to remove these objects.

2.8. Bringing and loss of objects, parking of vehicles

(1) Valuables must be stored in the safes provided for this purpose; no liability is accepted for valuables brought into the Thermal Spa Resort in any other way.

(2) Any items found must be handed in at the spa ticket office against confirmation.

(3) Vehicles or other objects may only be parked in such a way that access to the pool is not obstructed, in particular with regard to rescue, fire brigade or police operations.

2.9. Duty to report / duty to provide assistance

(1) Accidents, thefts and complaints must be reported immediately to the responsible staff or the management of the Thermal Spa Resort.

(2) Every guest is obliged to give the necessary first aid or other assistance.

(3) All self-caused damage must be reported immediately by the guest.

2.10. Other commercial activity/advertising

Any kind of commercial activity or advertising in the Thermal Spa Resort area requires the prior consent of the management.

SAUNA ORDER of the Thermal Spa Resort Laa

To simplify readability, we have refrained from using a specific female, male and diverse gender. All information is of course directed to all genders. By entering the sauna area, the sauna rules will be recognised. Taking a sauna has many positive effects on your health. Out of consideration for other guests and in the interests of hygiene and safety, please observe the following sauna rules:

1. According to old sauna tradition, we operate our sauna world as a free-body area (nude area). The wearing of swimwear is only permitted in the textile sauna in the public Therme.

2. Guests under the age of 14 have no access to the sauna.

3. Take a shower before the first sauna session. Please only enter the sauna cabin when completely dry and wearing bathing sandals.

5. Please use a towel to sit or lie on in all sauna cabins, except in the steam bath, to avoid any sweat on the sauna benches. Avoid direct body contact with the benches and always place your feet on a towel when sitting on the sauna benches.

6. Please do not use bath towels to sit on in the steam bath, but use the water hoses provided to clean your seat before and after your steam bath session.

7. Out of consideration for other sauna guests, we ask you to keep quiet in the sauna cabins.

8. It is forbidden to take electronic devices into the sauna cabin.

9. It is forbidden to take glasses, crockery and any fragile objects with you.

10. Please understand that it is not permitted to take cosmetic accessories (razors, pedicures etc.) with you.

11. The production of images and audio material of persons without their consent is not permitted without exception. The production of image and sound material of buildings, parts of buildings or premises of the Thermal Spa Resort is prohibited without exception and is only permitted after obtaining written consent from TBL.

The publication of such photographs in any form is also forbidden.

Loud telephone calls are not permitted.

12. Please note the specified onpouring hours. Out of consideration for other guests, please do not start your sauna session during onpouring.

13. Self-made onpourings is only permitted in the Swiss stone pine sauna in the public Therme Sauna World. In all other sauna areas, self-performed onpouring is not permitted.

14. The use of self-brought liquids or sauna essences of any kind is not permitted in any sauna.

15. In the event of a health risks and in emergencies, please leave the sauna cabins during the onpouring!

16. Please leave the sauna during the ventilation phase and take your towels with you.

17. It is not permitted to visit the sauna area with infectious diseases.

18. Alcoholic onpouring and the consumption of alcohol in the sauna cabins are not permitted.

19. For hygienic reasons, you must take a shower before immersing yourself in the cooling pool.

20. For reasons of hygiene, the consumption of food is not permitted in the sauna and steam bath area.

21. Jumping from the edge of the pool is prohibited in all pools.

22. Take enough time to rest between each sauna session. Please use the beds or resting beds only with an underlay.

23. Please wear a bathrobe or use a large bath towel at the sauna bar or Vitality Bar. 24. Guests are obliged to follow the instructions of our staff.
